Конкурс пресс-фотографии в Вильнюсе: дед-лайн 7 сентября 2010

On the October of this year the Lithuanian press photographers club will hold already forth press photographers’ festival “Vilnius photo circle”.

This year's festival exhibitions will be composed from festival's competition "Circle of Life" and the program for young photographers "Home work". At the end of October, (intended on the 23 - 24), in Vilnius will be hold the "Photographers weekend", during which, some lections and tutorials will be delivered and the winners of this festival will be awarded.

This is an excellent opportunity to win one of the best currently available set of equipment from our main sponsor NIKON. The first prize winner will be awarded: Nikon D3s, Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8, Nikon SB-900.

The deadline for "Circle of Life" is is extended till 2010 09 07
The deadline for "Home work" is set on 2010 09 13

Those photographers whose pictures will be exhibited during this festival and published in "Photo circle" journal will get two night stay in Vilnius, during the "Photographers weekend".

For the winners of "Circle of Life" competition and "Home work" program (at least one person from each) organisers will buy a ticket for the trip to Vilnius.

LATVIAN MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHY ANNOUNCES AN APPLICATION COMPETITION FOR EXHIBITIONS IN 2011

Latvian Museum of Photography announces an application competition for exhibitions in 2011. Photographers, artists and curators are welcome to submit the applications till September 6, 2010.

The application should include a statement of the exhibition concept (1,500–3,000 characters), description of the author's experience and creative activities, information on works to be included in the exhibition (number of works, dimensions, date of creation) and photos of all works indicating if this is the final selection.

The museum provides premises for the exhibition, but the preparation works (printing, framing, transporting) is the responsibility of the author. The applications will be graded by a special jury of art critics, photographers and employees of the museum.

Проект Олега Яровенко во 2 международном фестивале арт-фотографии в Вильнюсе

The IN FOCUS festival of photography will take place for the second time in Vilnius between August 19th and October 5th 2010. During the festival, over 80 artists from 10 countries will present their works in the galleries of the city.

The first exhibition will represent a panorama of the international photography competition called Photosophy after the term coined by the Lithuanian philosopher Arvydas Šliogeris. Over 250 professionals and amateurs from Hungary, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, Great Britain, the US, Belarus, Switzerland, and, of course, Lithuania, took part in the competition. Works which gained the acclaim of photographers, art critics, and curators, will be exhibited.
